For the bathroom, scents that invigorate are more suitable: for example, spicy and citrus. Christmas and New Year sometimes require resources, so for a cheerful morning, the aromas of mandarin, lemongrass or cinnamon are suitable.

What should you pay attention to?

On the size of the space. To avoid the scent seeming intrusive, as if you were in a perfume shop, choose the size and number of lit candles according to the area of the room. Good ventilation and fire safety of the room are also important.

When choosing fragrances, do not forget about your family and pets. Not everyone will like strong smells, they can lead to headaches, and some can even cause an allergic reaction.

How to use aroma candles correctly?

At first glance, everything seems simple: you need to light a match, bring it to the wick, enjoy the fire and smells, blow it out when you want. But it’s not that simple.

Light the candle for at least an hour and a half. This way the wax will have time to warm up and will give off a good aroma;
If the candle is in a glass or ceramic container, do not tilt it when lighting it, so that the walls do not turn black;
You shouldn’t burn the candle for more than three hours: the wax overheats and the oils stop releasing their aroma. If you want to use the candle for a long time, put it out every couple of hours for 5-10 minutes;
to avoid the formation of pits around the wick, wait until the surface is evenly melted and then extinguish;
do not blow out the candles, otherwise the next time the aroma of the candle will be added to the smell of the smoldering wick. You can cover the candle with a lid (if included) and it will go out on its own in a few seconds without access to oxygen. Or you can use a special accessory – a bell-shaped extinguisher;
Cut off the burnt end of the wick before each use to prevent wick particles from falling into the wax and smelling of smoke later. Regular scissors or special candle tongs will do for this;
Do not place candles close to drafts, open windows or air conditioners to avoid fire hazards;
if the candle has a lid, this will protect it from household dust;
Use a refill if the manufacturer provides such a service. This way you can use the container several times and not buy a new one again.
