Did You feel like You’re Cooking With Your Air Fryer In The Wrong Way? To be honest, the term “air fryer” is a misnomer. It’s a wonderful marketing strategy, but it’s also a misnomer. An air fryer does not fry anything. Not at all.

Air fryers are something you’ve probably heard of. How could you possibly be unaware of them at this point? If you’re a TikTok user, you’ll need an air fryer to make almost every other dish created in the last year.

However, when you hear the term “air fryer,” you might immediately conjure up images of deep-fried delicacies. Onion rings, mozzarella sticks, wings, and other similar foods. That is marketing’s power. And if there’s one thing that Americans love, it’s watering down something delicious and wonderful so that it can be enjoyed in big quantities. When you hear the term “air fryer,” though, you might immediately think of deep-fried delights. Onion rings, mozzarella sticks, wings, and other meals of the same nature. That is the power of marketing. And if there’s one thing that Americans adore, it’s diluting something tasty and great in order to consume large quantities of it.

However, if that’s how you’re using your air fryer, you’re doing it improperly.

When it comes to roasting veggies, the air fryer is unbeatable. It was sent from above especially for weeknight dinners. To be honest, I rarely use my regular oven for roasting vegetables any longer, despite the fact that roasted vegetables are a staple of most of my dinners.

In all intents and purposes, an air fryer is a convection oven. It pumps hot air around and inside your food, allowing it to cook quickly at high temperatures. That is, in a perfect world, how you would roast veggies.

Whether it’s Brussels sprouts, carrots, onion, sweet potatoes, broccoli, or anything else, here’s how I air fry vegetables:

  • Cut the vegetable into the size and shape you choose.
  • Using cooking spray, coat the air fryer basket completely.
  • Place the food in the basket and toss it in.
  • Spray the meal with everything you’ve got (you could use oil here, too, if you desire)
  • Season the vegetables to taste (just make sure you include salt)
  • Preheat the air fryer to its highest setting.After around 10 minutes, shake the basket to mix the vegetables.
  • When the vegetables are crispy on the outside but tender on the inside, they’re done. There should be a small char visible. This normally takes 20 minutes or so.
  • Eat

If you use this procedure, you will always obtain crisp, salty, gorgeous, slightly burnt vegetables. A technique that would take 45 minutes in the oven and copious amounts of oil takes half the time in the air fryer and requires no oil if you want to save time.

So, here’s the deal: I have a confession to make. I’m an idiot: I couldn’t find any images of my delicious air-fried vegetables for the life of me. And that’s because, as I previously stated, it’s ideal for a weeknight meal when you’re racing to get something done after work. When I just want to relax and eat, I don’t stop taking shots.

Of course, the air fryer can now be used for various purposes. It performs a fantastic job of reheating frozen items. It makes a tasty chicken wing, yet as a wing specialist, I believe that deep-frying is superior. You may use it to bake or roast anything. I’ve air-fried salmon, poultry, and whatever else I’ve needed to prepare quickly and easily with minimal mess.

However, I would say that vegetables are the only meal I prefer to cook in the air fryer over any other way. I’d still want an air fryer if it only had one function, such as roasting veggies. You might use a convection oven to get similar results, but it will often cost you more money, cook fewer veggies, and be more difficult to clean.
